🧡 A Little Warmth Goes a Long Way… 🧡
This last holiday season, we made 150 fleece beanies for our local homeless community—something soft, warm, and made with love to help bring a little comfort during the coldest time of year.
It’s a simple thing I can do with my own two hands—I spent all of 2025 collecting fleece and prepping to make as many as I could. These beanies are quick to sew, it only took me and my brother an entire week to make them, and I’m aiming to create a larger batch to hand out the last week of December 2026 through local homeless outreach organizations.
We took them to our local Shelter kitchen, our local warming center, and to a shelter in the next town. It was the most invigorating thing to pass those beanies out and see their beautiful smiles and feel their gratitude. I am still on a cloud over how much I feel like we made a difference. I will be doing it again.
This is something I feel deeply called to do, and I’ll be doing it no matter what.
Last year I shared about my Beanies for the Homeless Project and many helped me with donations towards the cost of the fleece. The total amount that came in from donations was $296 and I couldn't be more grateful.
I would like to thank everyone who donated to the project. You helped me make a difference.
2026 I have a goal to make 200 beanies to pass out and add one more location to give them out.
If you’d like to help support this effort in a small but meaningful way, I’m gratefully accepting $1–$5 donations to help cover the cost of fleece. Every single penny will go directly to the cost of materials—nothing else. The total cost to make 200 beanies out of fleece is $1000. Yep! That’s equivalent to $5 per beanie. It’s a big goal and worth every penny.
💛 Whether you donate or simply send good vibes my way as I stitch each one, thank you. Every act of kindness makes a difference.
Let’s spread some warmth this winter—together.
