I designed the Migraine Relief Packs to lay over the eyes and top and sides of head when laying down or laying back. The weight of them is just enought for a slight pressure. This seems to help relieve some of the tension and some people use it just for that.
They are filled with rice and flax seed and can be heated up for a minute or two in the microwave, or kept in the freezer in a zip lock to be chilled.
When heated, the heat lasts approximately 40-50 minutes. When chilled, they are not frozen, they are chilled and lasts about 30-45 minutes, depending on your body temperature.
You can dab a drop of lavender essential oil for relaxation if it is a stress migraine or a drop of peppermint essential oil if it is an allergy activated migraine. Caution: If your migraines are sensitive to smells, do not use the essential oils.
These Migraine Relief Packs do not cure migraines. They provide some relief from pain and tension caused by a migraine and help aide in recovery time.
They will last a lifetime if properly cared for.
*Do not wash. Can be spot cleaned with a slightly damp papertowel.
